Arriving in the United States from Russia in 1979, Jacob Arabo studied jewelry in New York and then founded Jacob & Co. In 1986. Having a passion for elegant pieces, and fascinated by the art of watchmaking and mechanical brilliance, he incorporated the timepieces into his collection in 2002 and that now is a majority of the brand. Earning international acclaim with his exclusive creations, the founder had a flair that caught the eye of many celebrities, as well as royalty and politicians. Opening the New York store in 2004 was the launch of greatness for the brand.
Choosing a diamond-studded platinum as the material most favored, Arabo quickly built a reputation that was not only innovative, but provided a distinct appearance. The timepieces showcased with five time bands on the same movement, coupled with grand complications like the Tourbillons equipped with 31 day power reserves is what took the industry by storm.
When first on the scene in 1981, the new jeweler started his business in the diamond district taking private custom orders. This business is what drove him to build a brand that was dedicated to producing haute jewelry designs and developing a clientele that wanted high-end pieces that provided precision and elegance. That first five time zone watch is what inspired the birth of more designs and the luxury watches that became known the world over. The Quentin that was introduced in 2006 utilized seven barrels, a vertical tourbillon that was viewed through a side window and featured a global map laid out in diamonds. Besides being breathtaking, the timepiece won a number of awards and opened the door to the world for Jacob & Co.
With each year that followed the brand worked with a number of great ambassadors and continued to defy the common timepiece designs. In 2013 the Epic SF24 was unveiled and presented a mechanical watch that premiered 24 time zones, and a split flap display to show each destination. The timepiece that followed, the Astronomia Tourbillon, took on a new dimension for the brand and featured a triaxial tourbillon with a fiery oscillator sitting at the center in representation of the sun, while the moon was depicted as a diamond. This luxury timepiece certainly propelled Jacob & Co. upward and they continued to be innovative and creative in their quest for excellence.
Most Jacob & co watch self-winding movements can be wound properly by most watch winder boxes. Usually Jacob & co’s self-winding movements need to rotate 650 - 800 revolutions per day, and most of them can be wound clockwise. So please take some time and like to choose a cute clockwork that suits you and your watch.

If you could not find your watch model (or caliber) in this table, you may determine your Jacob & co. winding mode on a trial basis. You should select the combined winding mode (CW+CCW) and the minimal number of turns per day (TPD). Then place your watch into the watch winder and check after a few days how accurate your watch shows the time. If it runs behind, it is necessary to increase the number of TPD by one step.
