For more than 100 years, Mido has amazed both men and women with their robust, technologically advanced and elegant timepieces. From the stunning Sydney Harbor Bridge to the mighty Eiffel Tower to the magnificent Colosseum of Rome, world-famous architectures have inspired the models of this Swiss brand.
Owned by Swatch Group and founded by George G. Schaeren, this leading brand is known for the cutting-edge features it offers, ranging from water resistance to anti-magnetism, precision and more. It is here to make its presence felt, whether you wish to explore the oceans with a trusted timekeeper or you intend to be the life of every party.
Mido is a brand that sometimes flies under the radar, at least here in the United States. Brands like Hamilton, Tissot and Longines seem to garner more attention in the USD 1,000 race, but Mido has both a storied history and portfolio that shouldn’t be overlooked. The brand’s Multifort line has been in production since 1934 and was the first Mido with an automatic movement. The watches were anti-magnetic, shock and water-resistant, offering a rare combination of robustness at an impressive price to quality ratio. The same holds true today with the new Multifort Patrimony collection, featuring a retro design, top mechanics and attainable prices. As part of the Swatch Group, Mido benefits from the conglomerate’s resources, and its latest trio of Multifort Patrimony timepieces continue their legacy of style, innovation and function. Let’s take a closer look.
Most MIDO watch self-winding movements can be wound properly by most watch winders. Usually MIDO's self-winding movements need to rotate 650 - 800 revolutions per day, and most of them can be wound clockwise. So please take some time and like to choose a cute clockwork that suits you and your watch.

If you could not find your watch model (or caliber) in this table, you may determine your MIDO winding mode on a trial basis. You should select the combined winding mode (CW+CCW) and the minimal number of turns per day (TPD). Then place your watch into the watch winder and check after a few days how accurate your watch shows the time. If it runs behind, it is necessary to increase the number of TPD by one step.
