Armand Nicolet is an approximately 140 year old Swiss watch company that was sold by the founder’s son in 1988 to Rolando Braga of Italy. The company had been a finisher of complicated Swiss movements for other Swiss watch brands until that time. With new ownership, Braga decided to close his watch assembly factory in Italy and move to Switzerland. The decision was made to manufacture Armand Nicolet watches with either vintage movements upgraded to current Swiss standards or with modern ETA or SELLITA based movements modified by the company. The AN branded watches were first introduced in 2000 at Basel Fair.
Most Armand Nicolet watch self-winding movements can be wound properly by most watch winders. Usually Armand Nicolet's self-winding movements need to rotate 650 - 800 revolutions per day, and most of them can be wound clockwise. So please take some time and like to choose a cute clockwork that suits you and your watch.

If you could not find your watch model (or caliber) in this table, you may determine your Armand Nicolet winding mode on a trial basis. You should select the combined winding mode (CW+CCW) and the minimal number of turns per day (TPD). Then place your watch into the automatic watch winder and check after a few days how accurate your watch shows the time. If it runs behind, it is necessary to increase the number of TPD by one step.
