Hanhart watch winder settings

Jun 21, 2021

Hanhart is a Swiss-German watch company that was established by Johann A. Hanhart in Diessenhofen, Switzerland, in 1882. Today, it makes chronographs and stopwatches.

High-quality mechanical timepieces, manufactured in numerous individual stages at the factory in Gütenbach, continue to represent an important part of Hanhart's product line, alongside its wide range of stopwatches for industry and sport. Just as they were used in the past at every important car race, amongst other things, so today they are a popular companion of ambitious vintage car drivers.

The design and technology of the wrist chronographs are based on Hanhart's long tradition and vast expertise. They combine historic features, such as the red button – Hanhart's trademark since 1939 – with state-of-the-art technology and contemporary design.

Most Hanhart watch self-winding movements can be wound properly by most watch winders. Usually Hanhart’s self-winding movements need to rotate 800 revolutions per day, and most of them can be wound clockwise. So please take some time and like to choose a cute clockwork that suits you and your watch.

If you could not find your watch model (or caliber) in this table, you may determine your Hanhart winding mode on a trial basis. You should select the combined winding mode (CW+CCW) and the minimal number of turns per day (TPD). Then place your watch into the watch winder box and check after a few days how accurate your watch shows the time. If it runs behind, it is necessary to increase the number of TPD by one step.
