The history of the Swiss watch company Scalfaro begins in 2001. The brand is the result of the creative collaboration of two brothers - Alexander and Dominik Kuhnle. The company's name came from the Italian word which means “lighthouse”. The company's logo is formed from the symbols of fire and the sea. It symbolizes the company's commitment to “the wave”, as well as hints at the company's ability to attract the connoisseurs-watchmakers from all over the world. Scalfaro in its watch models embodies the idea of the “modern luxury”, which is expressed on the one hand in the presentable of the watch “image”, on the other - in the watch “immediate” sportiness. This makes Scalfaro the pioneer of the new philosophy of luxury. The watch architecture differs by the elegant forms, difficult design and modern style.
The Scalfaro Classic Collections are the essence of the unique design language and philosophy of our brand. They radiate with clear lines, extraordinary shapes and sophisticated facets causing a beautiful play of light.
Inspired by the worlds of motorsport and yachting, the Cap Ferrat, Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo and North Shore lines have become instant classics cherished by customers around the globe. Scalfaro Classics result from the combination of passion, perfect craftsmanship and the art of engineering. They are united by the highest technical standards and the unique Scalfaro design language.
Most Scalfaro watch self-winding movements can be wound properly by most watch winder boxes. Usually Scalfaro’s self-winding movements need to rotate 650 - 820 revolutions per day, and most of them can be wound clockwise. If you could not find your watch model (or caliber) in this table, you may determine your Scalfaro. winding mode on a trial basis. You should select the combined winding mode (CW+CCW) and the minimal number of turns per day (TPD). Then place your watch into the automatic watch winder and check after a few days how accurate your watch shows the time. If it runs behind, it is necessary to increase the number of TPD by one step.
